Try something different this spring break. Instead of doing the usual activities that go with the season— like going to the beach or going hiking or camping — why don’t you try hitting the slopes?
Going on a ski trip for spring break is a fun thing to do, especially if you didn’t get enough skiing time over the winter.
Before you take off to the mountains, you have to make the necessary preparations for your trip. Otherwise, it would be a disastrous spring break ski trip.
Ski Trip Essentials
Before anything else, make sure that you have all of your essentials packed before you leave. After all, you wouldn’t want to be caught dead going on a ski trip without your gear, right?

Outerwear
Protect yourself from the elements by packing the right clothes for your trip. You need to make sure you’re covered up well enough. Bring waterproof pants, a windproof-and-waterproof ski jacket, long underwear (ideally, those with non-cotton base layers), and additional insulation to keep you extra warm.

Accessories
On top of your Spyder boys’ ski pants and ski jacket, make sure to pack a pair of good gloves, a neck gaiter, a pair of goggles, a helmet for protection, a few pairs of ski socks, a winter hat, and some sunscreen and lip balm.

Gear
Once you’re done preparing your clothes and accessories, it’s time to prepare your skiing gear. So pack load your skis, poles, boots, bindings, and snowboards in the car before you forget them.
If you don’t have any of these, you can either borrow from a friend or you can rent some of the equipment you need at the resort. Just be sure to check if they have skis for rent where you’re going.

Optional Accessories
These are not really must-haves but it would be good to have them on hand just in case. A pair of sunglasses, a first-aid kit, hand and toe warmers, and a decent camera.

Park City is always a safe bet for ski trips. Its proximity to the Salt Lake City International Airport is one of its selling points because it is easily accessible to tourists. That’s not even mentioning it is one of the largest resorts in the country.

Grand Targhee, WY
Safely tucked into the Teton Range in Northwest, Wyoming, Grand Targhee is a great place to take your buddies skiing. The resort gets more snow than any other spot in the area (except for Alta) which makes it a great spot for powder skiing.
